It's a long title for a blog, I know, but I couldn't figure out a way to pare it down without losing meaning.
My oldest son, now 8 years-old, was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 6 years-old. So, I am particularly interested in anything that gives guidance on how to increase his chances of growing into an emotionally, academically healthy young man. So far, so good!
This article makes the link between ADHD and cigarette smoking. Of course we know that cigarettes are least one of the gateway drugs, so this may give us some ideas for preventing the development of substance use disorders in youth with ADHD.
